Could it have rained any more on Friday night. OMG! I was headed home after Beer-Thirty at work and saw the biggest, ugliest, cloud I’ve ever seen. The cloud looked like it was out of Independence Day…the scene where the clouds part and the alien space craft comes out…yeah, it was just like that.
So, I was on Kellogg headed home when a sheet of rain came blasting from the sky. Suddenly traffic (what little there was) went from 60MPH to 15MPH. Visibility turned to about 3 feet in front of the car and lightning started booming all over the city. The radio was reporting floods all over town within the first 30 minutes.
As I was at the Kellogg/235 underpass I was inches from slamming into the back of two idiots who thought that parking your car in the left-hand shoulder was a good idea. Lucky for them there wasn’t anyone next to me so I was able to move over and keep from killing all of us…okay, we woudn’t have died, I mean we were only going 15MPH.
Jeez. What an experience.
