Juli had an urge to watch this this week. It’s good that she did. It has been so long since I’ve watched it, although I never really forgot how good it is. It’s cool how director Robert Zemeckis centers Forrest in some of the most recognizable instances in history. Watergate, “Sh*t Happens” Slogan, the 80s running-epidemic, Vietnam. All brilliant ideas to incorporate history into a wonderfully-engaging film.
So I mentioned a few of my favorite parts of the movie…what are yours (quotes, scenes, sounds…whatever)?

I love the scene where Jenny is getting on the bus. “I think she should come back to GREENBO, ALABAMA!”. He’s a riot!

What a great movie to help you get your priorities straight… And it’s hilarious. - “He got me invested in some kinda fruit company.” - Thank Forrest for your ipod.

Hey Michael…
I love Forest Gump. I really liked the house and land they had. And I liked how the movie portrayed the beauty of simplicity. We make everything so hard. Ignorance can be bliss.
You and Juli have to check out “A Lot Like Love”. Watched it this weekend and just loved it. We also watched “Crash”. That was strange.
See you soon I hope.
