Julian Archive
The other night while we were all sitting down at the dinner table eating pizza, Julian began his usual routine of humming while he eats (it is a sign that his taste buds are pleased). So I thought I would capture it on video for everyone to enjoy. But when the video started recording, he began one of the world’s longest drinks. Watch Julian as he just can’t get enough milk below.

Our trip to Dallas/Oklahoma was pretty awesome. In addition to going to Jamie and John’s wedding, we also explored several cool attractions including the Dallas Zoo, the Dallas World Aquarium, the Dallas Natural History Museum, Turner Falls, the Oklahoma City Zoo, the park, Eskimo Joe’s and many excellent restaurants. We were away for a total of six days and drove a total of 957 miles. We took many photos of the trip and I am still in the process of uploading them to the site have one last set of images to upload before I’m done. Take a look at some photos of our trip (more photos to be uploaded later):

Last Sunday the kids and I went outside for a little fresh air. Mikayla practiced her guitar, Julian played with his Radio Flyer and Kennedi painted our driveway with water. Check out some photos of them playing outside. Make sure to drop us a note to let us know you enjoyed the photos.

This past Saturday was an excellent day for playing soccer and the Orange Crush did just that. They came out strong during the first quarter. As the season comes to an end, I thought I’d share a few photos of Mikayla playing soccer and let you preview some of the sideline action too. Check out these photos of Mikayla playing soccer and leave a comment for us letting us know if you enjoyed them.

Julian turns 1 on Friday, April 25th! We are having a birthday party for him at our house that evening at 7pm. You are all invited to come and help us celebrate this momentous event. If you need directions to the house, please call us. If you plan on coming or would like to wish Julian a happy birthday, drop us a note. Thanks.
Update: Juli and I can hardly believe it has already been an entire year since Julian was born. He is getting so big now. He is crawling all over the house, climbing stairs, cruising around furniture and walking (with support of course). He has two bottom teeth and two top teeth (one of them is on the verge of popping through) and he has started eating real foods (not from a jar).

I realize it has been a couple of weeks since I last posted anything but it isn’t because of a lack of activity, more like a lack of energy. I thought now would be a good time to pass along an update for the past couple of weeks.
Mikayla
Mikayla had several basketball practices and games. All games played over the past couple of weeks have been won with Mikayla guarding and blocking like a real WNBA player. She has had several tests at school too. All good reports and grades of course. Two Sundays ago, her and I went to the annual Father/Daughter function for Little Flowers where we danced, played games and had a lot of fun.
Kennedi
Over the weeks, Kennedi has continued her passion for baby dolls, reading, dress-up clothes and eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Her strong will and independent spirit still keep Juli and I on our toes at all times. She continues to improve on her colors and shapes.
Julian
Aside from the continuous coughing and drooling, Julian seems to be in good spirits. His crawling is improving and now he is able to move along the floor quite well, still in army crawl position. His nine month check-up is scheduled for early February.

As I hung out at home yesterday with Julian (and the rest of the family) I began to notice him flipping around, inching and rolling to new destinations on the blanket he plays on. Now, by now means was he up on all fours and zipping around the house, but after I enticed him with a rubber ducky and the chance to be picked up, he managed to army crawl a good 12″ or more. Although this isn’t any large distance to you and me, it certainly is a small step towards his mobility. It won’t be too long before the baby gate gets back up on the stairs and our solace in knowing he is stationary in the living room has diminished.

This year Juli decided we needed to have photos taken of the entire family…to show off the kids and document their remarkable growth, personality and good looks (from Juli of course). Take a look through the McClure Family Photo Gallery to see some updated photos.
