Final Friday Art Show   |  September 23rd, 2008

Final Friday Poster
This Friday (September 26th) we are hosting a Final Friday Art Show at work to show photographs taken by Scott Thome, Brandon White, Erick Riedell and me (we all work together at 360wichita.com). The show starts at 6pm and ends when people stop showing up. Our offices are located at 914 E. Douglas in Wichita (just West of Douglas and Washington on the North side of the street (look for the 360ideas awning)). All photographs and artwork will be for sale by the artists. Profits made from artwork during the show will go directly to Erick Riedell to help assist with unwanted medical bills during his Bad Ass Cancer Tour. See you there.

The 360 Office Beardo Contest   |  November 21st, 2007

Michael McClure BeardSo the guys at work decided to all have a beard contest. It began in early November and will last until late December. Essentially the rules are simple. Grow your beard out, style it and get points. The beard contest can be followed by going to The 360 Office website.

Scott was able to get a couple of shots of my initial beard styles on Monday and Tuesday. More styles will come at the end of December at the closing of this years contest. Enjoy!

Snowy Office Prank   |  February 24th, 2007

Snowy Office PrankWhile Scott and I were out of the office last week on a snowboard trip to Monarch, Colorado, the guys at our office (360ideas) thought it would be really funny to pull a prank on us.

They turned our office into a wintery ski slope complete with chairlifts, skiis, snow, and a warm fire. Check out these photos documenting their poor excuse for an office prank.

I’m Still Kickin’   |  April 10th, 2006

I realize it’s been about a month since my last post. The site has gone through some transformations (of which you probably can’t see). The first big transition was the hosting. I’ve switched hosts to AN Hosting where I can get a ton of space for a little bit of money. So, for the past few weeks, that’s been changing behind the scenes of the site. In the process I’ve had to change file names, etc… on the site…and some of the files were giving me grief, but all is well now.

Check out my new Works area. Some new additions to this area can be seen in the Logo Design section.

The Office   |  January 28th, 2006

It was Brandon and Don’s birthday at work yesterday. Brandon (turning 30) and Don (turning 60) were bombarded with black streamers and balloons as if a bomb of Over The Hill jokes went off around them. That afternoon there was a party for them…including a special guest. Within minutes after the party photos were circulating over the internet, including their very own brandonanddon.com website.

Postcard Viewer   |  October 18th, 2005

Nice Car!A friend at work, Erick, ran into this picture viewer while online the other day. We’ve been toying around with how to use it, customize it, and how easy it would be to use in our own sites. After talking about it for about a week now, I’ve finally downloaded it and started testing it on this site.

The picture viewer is PostcardViewer and is slapped together by Airtight Interactive…and by the sound of their company and the look of their website, they’re good at what they do. If you’re interested in trying out this PostcardViewer…too bad. I found it and I’m not sharing…just kidding. You can download the PostcardViewer here.

Mikayla’s Famous   |  July 20th, 2005

Our girl in advertising

Mikayla modeling for billboard

Recognize that torso? No? Take a closer look. Does it remind you of any 6 year-old girls you know?

Mikayla was a model for us at work this month. We needed a girl about her age for this shot…and a teddy-bear.

Rain   |  June 14th, 2005

Could it have rained any more on Friday night. OMG! I was headed home after Beer-Thirty at work and saw the biggest, ugliest, cloud I’ve ever seen. The cloud looked like it was out of Independence Day…the scene where the clouds part and the alien space craft comes out…yeah, it was just like that.

So, I was on Kellogg headed home when a sheet of rain came blasting from the sky. Suddenly traffic (what little there was) went from 60MPH to 15MPH. Visibility turned to about 3 feet in front of the car and lightning started booming all over the city. The radio was reporting floods all over town within the first 30 minutes.

As I was at the Kellogg/235 underpass I was inches from slamming into the back of two idiots who thought that parking your car in the left-hand shoulder was a good idea. Lucky for them there wasn’t anyone next to me so I was able to move over and keep from killing all of us…okay, we woudn’t have died, I mean we were only going 15MPH.

Jeez. What an experience.
